Gingerbread Contest 2020

1. Choose a team name and get your supplies.
2. Fill out the Registration Form online and you're entered into the contest! 
3. Build your Gingerbread House at home with 100% edible components on a 24"x24" base. 
4. Drop your tastefully decorated house at The Lodge on Saturday, December 5, 2020 between 11AM-2PM for our judges to review your entry. *Be sure to include a notecard on the bottom with your registration information! 

• Entries must be registered online prior to Wednesday, December 2, 2020 with a festive team name and contact information. 
• Only one entry permitted per person/group.
• No fee to enter!
• Teams including Lodge employees may participate, but are Not eligible to win. 
• Please register early, as space is limited. Limit 25 entries for the 2020 contest.  
  
  SIGN UP TODAY!

• All houses/structures must be made of actual gingerbread and under 18” tall.
• All items used to decorate and build the structure must be 100% edible except for the base. Styrofoam and other artificial support materials are Not permitted on the structure or décor. 
• Each creation should be mounted on a sturdy base for transport, no larger than 24” X 24” (½” or ¾” plywood is recommended). 
• Bases should be decorated and incorporated into the overall design.
• Entries must be tastefully decorated to be entered to win. The Lodge reserves the right to refuse any entry deemed inappropriate, or any entry made of non-edible materials. 
• The Lodge is not responsible for any damage during delivery, moving or judging of the houses.
• Entries must include a notecard attached to the underside of the base with the team name, registrant’s name, address, telephone number, and email address. This information MUST match the online registration submitted. 

• Gingerbread Houses/structures will be judged by The Lodge's culinary team on December 5, 2020.
• Winners will be chosen for Best in Show, and Most Creative.
• Winners will receive a $100 voucher toward lodging, dining or retail at The Lodge.
• Prize winners will be announced on this page by Monday, December 7, 2020. www.TheLodgeAtGeneva.com/Gingerbread

DROP OFF:

• Gingerbread Houses must be delivered to The Lodge between 11AM and 2PM on Saturday, December 5th. 
• Houses should be brought to Lake Erie Ballroom B.  
• Only two guests at a time permitted to enter. 
• Please wear a mask at all times and use safe distancing guidelines. 

PICK-UP:

• Gingerbread Houses may be picked up from The Lodge on Monday, December 7th or Tuesday December 8th between 10AM and 6PM. 
• Any Houses remaining at The Lodge after 6:00 PM on Tuesday December 8th will be disposed of, thank you. 
• Only two guests at a time permitted to enter. 
• Please wear a mask at all times and use safe distancing guidelines.
